How to setup Windows Desktop wallet for Token Pay?

I found a lot of toke pay holders are finding it difficult to setup token pay wallet. So I am providing you a full brief here on how to setup windows token pay wallet in easy steps.
STEP 1-
A new window will open with download button from here download the token pay windows wallet zip file.
STEP 4-
There are 2 default addresses which we do not have to use as these are not secured by any password or seed. So now we will create a new wallet address where we will setup our own password and will get a seed which will make our wallet secure.

STEP 1-
Login to
your Token pay account and then click wallet link on left as shown in below
screen-
STEP 2-
Now click
on Download Tokenpay windows wallet as shown below-
A new window will open with download button from here download the token pay windows wallet zip file.
Who are not aware with ZIP files, can download WinZip
software from
this link in order to extract the contents of the downloaded zip file.
STEP 3-
After downloading the ZIP file just extract its content and
open extracted folder named “TokenPay
Windows”. And then find the file shown in below screen and run the same.
STEP 4-
Token Pay windows wallet will run and you will see a working
app in front of you which will have several options. So without getting much
confused about the interface of the wallet, just click on the wallet tab and
then click Receive option inside it. See Screenshot-
There are 2 default addresses which we do not have to use as these are not secured by any password or seed. So now we will create a new wallet address where we will setup our own password and will get a seed which will make our wallet secure.
STEP 5-
To create new wallet address just click on Wallet management
> Add new wallet on left hand side panel.
You will get a screen where you have to name your wallet and
set a password (this is optional but I will recommend you to set this as well
for better security of your Tokenpay wallet).
Leave “Would you like
to create a Multi-Account HD Key? (BIP44)” checked.
Once you set name and password for your wallet, click on Next Step Button in bottom right.
STEP 6-
After clicking on next step you will see another screen
which will let you save a recovery phrase of 24 words. Just make sure you note
it well somewhere in your notepad or paper.
Then click on next
step button.
STEP 7-
Now it will ask to enter the previous 24 words in this step.
Just write all 24 words and click on next
step button. It will show a congratulations screen once you are done!!! And
your wallet is all set to use.
STEP 8-
Finally, your protected address is ready which you can see
by selecting Wallet > Receive option from left panel.
You will be able to see your new wallet address along with
the old address which is generated by default.
Now make sure you click and highlight new address (mytestwallet
default in my case). Make sure it is of normal type as I earlier mention there
are 2 addresses (1 normal and 1 stealth).
Now click on Copy Address button below and it will copy the address on clipboard.
Now click on Copy Address button below and it will copy the address on clipboard.
STEP 9-
Now you have to paste this address in your token pay account
and submit the same. Like this-

Very helpfull, but after step 9 I must confirm the address by a link sent to me by mail. If I click the link, I can only reset my password . . .

DeleteAfter step 9 you should see a confirmation message on same website in a green box. You will not get any confirmation email on your email ID.

ReplyDeleteYes you can but if your desktop wallet software gets unistalled you will lose all your Tokens inside the wallet because there is no way to recover the DEFAULT WALLET addresses. when you install the wallet software again it will generate different random DEFAULT Addresses.

ReplyDeleteWait until 31st Jan as tokens are being transferred manually so these can be loaded into your wallet anytime before 21st JAN.

ReplyDeleteHi, Yes your tokens will also come on default address. Only problem with default address is that you can't recover your wallet if that's lost!

Reason behind that I am only replying to all guys is that I am not from tokenpay. I am just helping out people here. Also if you have set wallet address correctly, you do not need to send any screenshots. These screenshots are needed for the people who didn't get any token on dashboard even they deposited in bitcoin.

If you have submitted new address and confirmed it from email then you will get your tokens on this new address before 1st Feb 2018

DeleteYes you can use default address also but it can't be recovered in case of wallet is lost. The above error generally comes when recovery phrase you use includes any line break special characters. Please check your recovery phrase and re-check if it has any special line break character. Sometimes when you save it in notepad and copy and paste it back then this line break character comes.

I dont see any short cut key or token pay file in my windows. How will open it for next time? Do I need to run exe file everytime?
ReplyDeleteIf you don't create any shortcut then you have to run exe file every time. You can manually create a shortcut.

If you create shortcut to exe file, its same like running exe file every time. each time creating new wallet doesn't make sense. My question is How will I see my wallet which I created first time?
DeletePerhaps we understood each other wrong. Further to explain once you setup wallet you do not need to set it again and again. You can open exe anytime and can see the created wallet there and your tokens will be sent on that wallet only which you will submit to website.
DeleteAlso shortcut is just a quick way to access app without opening folder and then open the app from there.

Hi Crypto Loverz, I need a help re setting up my wallet. For some reason my Desktop wallet isn't showing any default address to start with and nothing is showing up even if I prompt it by clicking and trying to set up new address.
